“Moonrakers,” named after the rectangle sail flown at the uppermost height of a three-mast 17th-century ship, is a state-of-the-art, upper-casual dining, full-service restaurant with rooftop dining and bar lounge area located in the Beaufort Historical District.
A dining destination offering friendly, neighborly service, along with excellent food, Moonrakers Coastal Cuisine features a captivating dining room and bar overlooking the waterfront on the ground floor including 14-foot open ceilings, display kitchen, custom mural, acoustical sails, dedicated wine wall and a wood fired brick oven. The ground floor includes a covered open-air dining space overlooking the coastal waterway. The open-space second floor caters to larger group events accommodating up to 110 guests.     Once Owens Grocery Store, this restaurant is reminiscent of a French country Bistro. Executive chef, Charles Park, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and member of the prestigious Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. Special dinners, private parties, receptions and other catered events are accommodated in the house and garden next door.
    Open six days a week for lunch and dinner, the lunch consists of creative homemade soups, salads, deli-type sandwiches, fresh-baked bread and a large assortment of cheesecakes and other unique desserts. Take out service and prepared picnic baskets are available. Brunch is also served on Sundays as a complement to the daily luncheon fare.
    In the evening, the Beaufort Grocery transforms into one of the area's most sophisticated restaurants, with daily seafood specials and a wide variety of other entrees, appetizers and desserts, complimented by a great wine list.

     "A true institution with Greek flair - Of course, their namesake pizzas are great, but my favorites are the steak & cheese as well as the Greek salads. Seems to be always busy, but no waiting....Awesome pizza, and veal parm and spagetti, salads, and garlic bread. The Ranch dressing is amazing too!....No name pizza is awesome. You do not go here for high quality service or atmosphere. You go here for great food. Their burgers are second to none and the pizzas are great as well. Great location on the main drag in Beaufort....Great food, service, and atmosphere! We were a pretty big party of pirates during the Beaufort Pirate Festival. Food is great, my husband said it was one of the best steaks he has ever had. Loved the salad bar. Food was quick and hot. The owner even stopped by our table twice to see how everything was.
